Aside from the instant taunt characters and Raid Han Solo, in Arena, what determines who goes first? I have searched and there is no adequate answer. All I see is a poster stating the Devs say there is a bug, still. No matter how high I get my speed or power level, the AI attacks First. A cruddy 150 Speed GS 8 Palpatine with Health mods gets to attack before my 188 Speed Ezra who is GS10 with proper 5* crit chance and crit dmg mods with bonus speed on several mods. Ships makes sense at least, playing with that you get a sense of attack turn and order. No issue there. Character Arena and GW make Zero sense nor why Palp starts most battles with 80% turn meter when AI controled. I want the same benefit the AI is given with synergy, dodge, foresight always working, and Dooku getting 9 attacks on a counter. /smile

Speed is speed. All other things equal, a 180-speed character will act before a 150-speed character. But special abilities, as well as leader and other character’s abilities, may have an impact on who actually goes first in battle. It pays to check all characters before attacking, especially when those are lesser known toons. Which were the other characters in your GS vs Ezra case ?AI plays with the same rules and stats (at least in GW & Arena - some PvE battles have adaptations made to kits and/or starting TM). It’s just confirmation bias that some seem to dodge or counter more. Bad outcomes get memory impressed more than good or average outcomes. ;)

Dude, I'm not asking every player to record every bartle. I'm simply asking you to record a single battle against that specific team, you mentioned. It's simply a sign that I'm treating you seriously. People need more specific information or documentation to investigate and explain to you what you saw in the battle.

No, you don’t have to. People are just saying you are missing something. There is always an explanation. What you have typed out doesn’t make sense, so you must have missed something. This guy somehow had his team at 660 rank in Arena where it’s dominated by 75-80k cookie cutter teams.

And not saying my team is awesome cause it is just Phoenix, but I rip through 75-80k Nihilus and Chaze/Wiggs teams with ease. It’s not like I do not know how to utilize Phoenix to nullify those teams abilities and VV. I know people know how to work around my team. I just can’t figure how this guys garbage team did what it did over preforming.

You need to check abilities. Turn meter gain and reduction is a big factor in battles. Speed is a determining factor at the beginning of battles but tm is the main cause for who gets to go during the battle. Palpatine gets tm from shocked enemies so that's why he went so often. Tm is why resistance under zfinn is so good in raids and gw.
