Territory Battle Episode Quest

I have some criticism over the recent Episode Quest for “Deploying 3 units to a Territory Battle Platoon or Operation.”

First, the idea itself is flawed as it heavily depends on the guild and which TB you're doing. We got lucky as we chose Dark Side Geonosis because if we decided to attempt ROTE, not everyone in our guild would have the ability to deploy 3 toons. So the chosen Territory Battle makes a big difference.

Secondly, if you decide to run a quest like that, don't put it into Chapter 4 at the end of the episode but rather in Chapter 1 where guilds can at least try to adapt. (Although why should guilds be forced to change their Territory Battle plan and have officers micromanage because of that?)

Thirdly, don't start such a quest for Territory Battle after phase 1 of the ongoing Territory Battle. It puts pressure on so many of the competitive guilds and their officers to micromanage each of their guild members’ actions.

Each of these points has the potential to be an issue for guilds, especially medium to smaller guilds, or better said those with smaller accounts. Either completely scrap that quest OR plan better and place it early in chapter 1 if you have to run the quest.

In Conclusion, I have to criticize the planning of Episode Quests with ongoing events such as Marquees, Territory Wars, Territory Battles, etc. I get the feeling that those who plan these Episode Quests are not taking much time and consideration into how each quest affects the player’s and each guild’s experience. Given the amount of money some of us pay towards the game, they should at the very least not make the game harder and less enjoyable to play.

There is 90 toons needed in each zone for ROTE, with duplicates, that is enough for all members to get it done in P1 alone.

Geos, I think there is 60 toons needed in each zone, still enough for all members to do it.

I understand a 4m account vs a 11m account has a harder time with platoons, but that's the point. They should also struggle to achieve lvl 50 of the quest line. Why should a 4m get the same rewards as the 11m without serious focus? They reward tenor and growing rosters.

If you already pay, why not buy the pass and benefit from those rewards? They make up the difference from not getting high in the quest line.

They are not making the game harder, this is an optional part of the game. No one is forcing you to do it. You can still advance in the game by ignoring the quests.

To add on, a 4m account would not have been red crate-ing in the old system either (or at least not all of them) so it feels like it's working as intended to me.

  • I like the TB platoon deploy episode quest, and the TW/TB based episode quests on setting defences/making attacks, as they encourage everyone in the guild to participate more actively.
The TB platoon units in our guild are usually completed by around 2/3 of the guild members - this could encourage the others to work on required units, taking the pressure off the rest, and providing spare units.
