Funny thing is that one can make Kyber by losing 4-5 times, i.e. without even claiming first place in any single GAC round.

Depends on division, GAC variant, feat completion and number of full clears. I am sure that it is possible with 8-4 and in some circumstances it may be possible with 7-5.
