Balance.. what do you think it means?
I read the word ‘balance’ in so many threads on here but it’s used is so many ways and it appears to have several meanings, so could someone clarify? I thought balance would mean that each characte...

Don't get me wrong - I run all 3. But they're not balanced.
As an aside, I think a related question is "should well geared, well modded paper be able to beat scissors?" I don't think so.
Put another way - imho, a good synergistic team, with good strategy and design should be able to beat a poorly designed team that simply has better mods/gear. In other words, a well planned f2p team should be able to beat a button mashing whale team. However a well planned whale team should be able to beat a f2p well planned team more often than not. That would be balance - in different terms.
So you think the AI needs a serious buff? I don't see how the rock/paper/scissors thing could work without an AI buff.
To be honest, i'm not so sure rock/paper/scissors balance would benefit the game. We both have been playing a while, i believe you've been playing even longer than i have. Assuming that because of that we both have a rock, a paper and a scissors team, maybe even multiple teams of each.

This statement basically renders mods (and gear to a certain extent) useless in regards to arena, resulting in a arena where everyone could literally beat everyone, given the fact that they've got the paper to the rock ofcourse.
To me that whole rock/paper/scissor balance system looks very good and fair on paper, but in reality, all the side effects considered, it isn't really desireable at all. In a way it's similar to communisme. From an idealistic point of view it's wonderfull, but in practice not so much. Especially with a game like this one where in the development in general isn't particulary flawless.
