Balance.. what do you think it means?
I read the word ‘balance’ in so many threads on here but it’s used is so many ways and it appears to have several meanings, so could someone clarify? I thought balance would mean that each characte...

It depends on what you want.
Every faction will not be arena viable nor do I expect them to be. People who run, let's say, First Order in arena and have them maxed out are still going to plummet like a brick. There will always be a meta of some sort. There will always be "OP" characters in this game period. It's something you have to deal with and figure out. You can't farm non meta and expect to compete in arena. Should it be like that is the question.
You can't expect a fully stacked Scoundrel team with Mob Enforcer and Zam and Dengar to beat a fully stacked Rebels team.
I'm fine with Rock / Paper / Scissors. We had that for a while. Jedi vs Sith vs Rebels vs Rex lead vs Empire vs Resistance. Now it's just all CLS and OK with that for now.
