I feel the same. I will get the double drops while they are available and after that I'm going to go back to what I was doing before - using all my LS/DS energy to gear farm for my resistance team and using my cantina energy to farm mods for the same.
Bb8 doesn't seem to add anything that is great or necessary to this game.
