I don't know if you bothered looking at my BHs, they all already have pretty high Potency (Potency Crosses are enough, you're only gaining Max Health, which doesn't make that big of a difference in their survivability) and Critical Chance. If I did what you suggested then I'd have pretty low speed and an over-reliance on criticals (which is punished by common tanks like General Kenobi and Shoretrooper, doesn't matter how big your Critical Damage bonus is).

Bounty hunters also get 15 speed for every debuffed enemy, and 15% turn meter for ever thermal detonator that goes off, so landing debuffs and thermals is kind of critical to their gameplay - which is what I think he was getting at with the read his leader ability and add potency comment
