For one thing, both vets were released after TFA not TLJ so Battle of Crait is out due to snapshot rules.

For another, thats like saying that Boba helped the empire catch the Falcon so he should be empire.

Ok, I get your snapshot rule for Battle of Crait, but Chewie was obviously invested in the Resistance enough to ferry Rey to Luke. But Boba got paid for his services, Chewie, as far as we know, did not. He still is as much Resistance as Old Ben is Rebel.

Yes this is exactly what they said. Which was a ridiculous reason imo. When have the devs ever cared about releasing characters that are too powerful?

Not understanding how they would be "too powerful." They would actually have a use. They both have interesting kits, but with no group synergy, sans Scoundrels and Smugglers, they don't have a home. Have two decent attackers would help Resistance (although having zFinn and Jedi Rey already gives them two legit leaders).

Yeah, having 3 toons that can stun and 2 that could remove buffs would probably make Zfinn OP, and pretty much a guaranteed win in the arena. Imagine:
Zfinn
RT
Poe
Vets
Chewie goes first, removes taunt from tank, stuns and does mass slow. Next Han, stuns biggest threat with 80% ability block on everyone else. Poe gets TM train rolling. Now when there’s any gap in the train, the only enemies who take turns are all stunned or ability blocked, so super low threat. Would dominate arena...
