I mean, you can look at it either way. Either it gives p2p players an advantage or it gives ftp/light spenders a disadvantage.
Either way, those who spend get a leg up due to this mechanic. I’m not a big fan either but it is what it is. At some point guild gp becomes high enough to negate any advantage anyway, so it’s really just another incentive that gives those who pay an early advantage.
