Carbanti challenge missing carbanti

I have been seeing a lot lately an empty space where the carbanti should be when I sim the strength challenge.
Anyone else having this issue?
Is it just a visual bug and I'm still getting some salvage or am I getting hosed and received zero carbanti?
I haven't been smart enough to track my salvage amounts before I see the empty spot.
It doesn't happen every time, but it seems once or twice a week...
