It was: GMY aoe hit (2 enemies killed), then with the bonus turn, hit a 3rd enemy (kill).
If that's also your strategy, don't waste your time trying because it wont count.
This is the Crush Them feat you're having trouble with. Chain Attack is take 8 turns in a row.
Crush Them, as near as I can tell, isn't bugged--the three kills have to be with a single attack. So if you have Rey with her ultimate, or if you're spreading your damage out and then use a bunch of Separatist Droid AoE, that's how you can get it.
