The event for home one to 7* you'll need to do 7 times. I've done it twice with JC, biggs, Wedge, fives, Cassian, Ghost and Phantom. All pilots 7* and gear 8 expect Jyn (gear VII, 6*), K2 (6*) and wedge and biggs (both G11).
