Chimera Event requirements

OK so I do not need all 4 of them then. 3 will suffice but 4 would be better.

Incorrect.

Other than Phantom, Home One, and Ghost, you need three of the four remaining ships: Biggs, Wedge, Cassian U-Wing, and Bistan U-Wing. You do not need Bistan if you have the rest.

Key word is "need."

Yep. You don't need Bistan's ship (or Bistan other than for platoons)...

Problem is that without Bistan you don't have any reinforcements at all, but I didn't need them to get 5* Chimera. Don't know about 6* or 7* but I'm hoping I don't need them there either.

No, it’s five in addition to home one (except when the bug was in place).

I guess my question is how good do all these ships need to be for 7*?

I've got a G12 Biggs and G11 Wedge but everyone else is lacking. G8 for my Phoenix and Ackbar, G7 for the U-wings.
