I can't even get past the 2nd tier and I have Luke 6*, Han 7* Ben 4*, R2 5*, Leia4* - all past gear VII at least with good mods....
If this is how future events are going to be in terms of requirements - it's not as much fun to just farm with no 'reward' or waiting for "rare" events to circle back.
Also, giving us 2 weeks to grab what we need to get R2 and then get the others for Hero's Journey up to level is near impossible without spending big bucks ....

First, not sure how you can't get past the second tier. My OB 6* (at the time I did it) was level 72, g7. Luke 7*, level 72, g8. R2, 7*, level 72, g7. NO MODS AT ALL. The early tiers aren't that difficult, if you play carefully.
Second, most legendaries require g8+ with solid modding. This isn't new. I don't know how much the last two tiers of the event require gear wise (2 OB shards shy at this point), but I doubt it's super demanding.
