CONNECTION ERROR - (Merged Threads )

I have a samsung galaxy s6 running 6.0.1. Weather I use wifi or 4g LTE my game is stuck in the checking for updates screen. I have restarted my phone, un installed the app and reinstalled, but it stays at the screen, then after like 3 min it says there is an error with your connection. Tried several times to get this fixed but nothing works.
