Just me or is this edition of conquest considerably harder...? Not sure if i am unlucky with data disks...i am in sector 4 and i didn't get the usual "defensive" diskes that i used to equip to make m...

I don't know if it has been mentioned already, what also works to get your Troopers "faster" is to run Wat with them. His first move should just be a basic and they get TM so you have a bigger chance if outspeeding the Conquest units and get your TM rolling.
That worked in combination with entrenched. Since entrenched is gone, the Wat TM isn't enough.
