Creating an alternate account?

Have an iPhone, want to create a f2p alt account, hesitant to log out on my current phone because I haven't before and am not sure email/password/ that jazz. Any suggestions?

A guild mate friend with ios picked up an unlocked android device to make an alt. With android you can run many emails on one device and swap accounts.

Unfortunately I don't have any knowledge on what works with anything on your end.
