Most have other sources like bronziums, 50 per shipments, shard shop and ship shop. ES was one of my early 7*. I wanted him for Rancor, planned ahead and 7* him in maybe 2.5 months which I don't see any problem with.

Plan ahead or pay, it's the way it is. The troll 1 hard node premium toons that are still 80 per are the only annoying "farms". Maybe the HR Soldier but I have him at 5* just from bronziums without ever farming his 1 node.
