A player being able to star up a FO squad in half the time is HUGE. It will affect you (and me), because we are literally competing within our own Guild(s) - right now. Your Guild members will happily beat you down the ranks in your Guild raids - its designed that way.
No it really won't. You're trying to combine new players with original players in some haphazard way to fit your argument. No one is suggesting CG let new players 7* these characters for half the shards, just that them still being hard-only is completely inconsistent. Every shard would come at some resource cost, and while yes to me & you not all resources are equal, a new player needs all of them.
Giving a new player slightly quicker access to FO will do just north of jack to improve their raids/GW because they still need gear. And FO needs 4 zetas! There is so many more beneficial characters to farm for new players over FO, that it's a ludicrous point to make like suddenly a 3 month FOTP vs a 6 month FOTP farm will vault them to the top.
And again, no, a new player won't affect me in raids because it's 1 team...that needs gear...and 4 zetas....and there's no new players in my guild. A current guild member being able to get FOTP/FOST in 3 months vs 6 won't affect me in raids because power creep is a thing.
