Why should every character be easy to get? It's more rewarding knowing I focused on unlocking a character and someone will need to do the same. I've completed Shoretrooper & Darth Nihlius this way. Currently I'm slow farming Baze, Krennic, FOTP, Veers, and FOST most days.
I'm not sure I get this either. Is there a different sense of "rewarding" from pushing a Sim x3 button once a day for 3 months vs 6months, besides "Whew, thank god that's over."
Besides, Shore & DN don't really fit this argument as shore is in shipments(and had a pack) while DN was a marque event, with shard shop, shipments, and packs as well.
For the record, I don't think DN, Shore, Krennic or Baze need changed(regardl. They are in multiple areas already and are newer characters. This is about these characters...."Waez;d-122213" wrote:

Isn't it time to do something? These characters are gated for no reason at all, especially For ES and CS, who are beginners toons, and should be available to them.
The "Whew, thank God it's over" is kinda the name of the game when it comes to grinding games.
I don't disagree, but I'm also not the one that claimed to feeling more rewarded after starring a character, based on length of time spent starring said character.
Essentially it sounds like this isn't the game for you then.
Because regardless of the toon, it takes time to farm. There is reward to farming.
It's why we play this game. Because of the reward to farming.
I enjoy the game because of the resource management aspect, not because i enjoy farming. Farming is a necessary evil. Farming hard node only characters is punishing progression without any real "pay-off/reward".
You can swing the wording all you like, the end result is still the reward of farming. You resource manage for that end.
You wouldn't play otherwise.
Farming means different things.
Legendary characters like Thrawn and R2 are rewarding because you need specific requirements for them, so they reward a large roster with bold farming choices.
Raid-only characters are a proof that you, as an individual, participate in your guild's Raids. It's a rather long but very rewarding farm that proves that you can beat the raid.
For Arena, Fleet and GW, farming a character is an achievement, because you have to strive to get those tokens. You just unlocked that Cassian thanks to your battle prowess in Arena? That's satisfying.
For Cantina nodes, shipments and Hard nodes, farming doesn't mean anything.
I SIM'd that battle 990 times. Yeah?
It's not interactive and rewarding in any way.
