Characters being made more accessible over time is exactly how it has worked for all but a tiny number of toons.
So it's not exactly how it works. It's a rule that you've made up based on something you've noticed with a number of characters, yet the rule is not absolute. Therefore it's not an actual rule.Do you know for a fact nobody had a 7* Vader? I'm pretty sure that some whales had been refreshing the shard shop, and did have him. I can't say that definitively, but I know for a fact that free players in my guild who started after me were further along on Vader than I because they chose to grind him from the shard shop. (Their 6* vs my 5*)Yep plenty of 6*, never heard of anyone having 7* back then. And it seems like a logical inconsistency
I agree. I don't see why it matters though. I'm sure CG have their reasons and who are we to speculate? You haven't made a coherent point yet.
This is an entitled instant-gratification whine thread. Only coherent point that needs to be made, same point I've been making since the beginning. Funny how posters tell me I don't get to dictate how CG decide to make shards available, yet I'm not the one who made a thread doing exactly that.
It's not a rule I made up. It's a pattern that the devs made. They call it release cadence. I never said it was a rule. It's just true over 90% of the time.
I did hear of 7* Vaders. I'm just not willing to state facts if I can't verify them. You throw out opinions like they're facts quite often though. And the point stands that some had made more progress than others when he was made more accessible.
So you agree that it's an illogical inconsistency. Great. That's progress. And who are we to question? We're the consumers of this product. We're the bosses. We pay the devs salary. Also even if they don't want to listen to their customers we still have a right to notice, and talk about it in a place with free speech.
And that's your opinion about what this thread is, and your opinion about what matters. Nobody wants anything handed to them. Some people seem to want to spend their resources (not get free stuff, spend) on junk characters and don't see a good reason why this tiny group of toons has been singled out to be so heavily gated. That's all. I won't be grinding them, but it makes sense to add ways to grind them to correct what you admit is a logical inconsistency.
And talking about what we like and don't like about this game is the whole purpose of this forum. There is a community manager who has as part of his job description taking to the game designers our likes and dislikes. We have every right to say what we think about a product we consume. And the game often changes accordingly when reasonable suggestions are made. So we make this game a better product when we praise or complain a bit. Sorry that you find that so offensive you have to call people "entitled", ignore facts, and make up imaginary reasons why it's wrong.
