You're wrong from your very first bullet point. TB isn't end game content. It was supposed to be scaled so that all guilds could participate at some level. You could say getting max stars in TB is end game. When you seriously argue guilds not being able to clear phase 1 combat is good design, you're just wrong. Posts like this are the worst.
+1. 95% of the player base is at a point that this isnt even reasonable to attempt. So, if they wanted to design endgame content for 5% of the people who play this game; job well done.
I played game where one mode had 3 tiers. Easy, medium and hard. Hard was so hard that nobody on serwer couldnt make a scratch, you were getting one shot ko. Medium was the same. Easy after three months of playing was so hard that you could finish two phases out of ten. After 10 months Players were able to finish easy tier. Many of them also couldnt. This new game mode is challanging for everyone for sure and is needed for this game. New content is always welcome.
Okay, first off - what game? Because I wouldn't have picked up anything like that. If I wanted a mobile version of Dark Souls, thats what Id look for. Not looking for that in SWGOH. The content is welcome, yes - but this was introduced as MIDGAME CONTENT YOU BLOODY KITTEN. NOT ENDGAME. This was designed for TWO STAR CHARACTERS IN PHASE ONE. Show me ONE two star character that will even make a dent. Teams of 30k power are able to clear everything in p1 LS TB. Yet 90k gets wiped in the exact same place for DS. Horse kitten.
Thankfully, people like you dont develop games. A challenge is one thing, this is broken garbage.
Doesnt matter what was this game. Not mobile game. There were also whales and f2p. There was no way to compete with players who spent money. Ftp player could only dream about lvl, gear, upgrades of whales. Hero of ftp player, best ftp player was most of the time one shot knocked down by whale. And the mode i am talking about was against best players in all serwers means best whales in all serwers. Nobody shout that this was hard or it wasnt fair. Here in this mobile game is different. Ftp can beat whales. Players are shouting always when it is hard to finish mission, a lot of emotions. Always thinking that it should be from easy to hard, and they think that they compete butin fact everyone can beat everyone. I am Ftp player and my Empire can beat everyteam in my arena shard. I really love this game couse of this, ftp is not different in arena than whale.
And whatI think about this DS TB? Really I think it is brilliant concept with bugs. Much better than LS TB which I find very boring. But this is my personal opinion. Not truth for all and I have no intrest that you or anyone will think the same. And first time i am suprised by CG couse I see some inteligence in what they did. Most of the time I was seeing repetitive concepts implemented in this game and copies from other games.
Look, I understand your opinion - but you need to realize people who feel like you about this make up maybe 2-5% of players. Lets put this into perspective a minute about who pays the bills behind their scripting.
Lets say true whales that spend 100,000$+ make up 2-3% of this game. Thats a generous figure at best. Probably more along the lines of 1%. The majority of players will fall somewhere right in the middle between ptp and ftp. They are the ones who keep the game going. The true star wars fans that will remain with the game strictly because it is Star Wars. Now, when you examine that there are 20 people saying it is too hard, to every 1 person saying its fine. Your opinion is selfish. You want something designed -for you-, something to keep -you- busy even though you acknowledge it is impossible to accomplish for the majority of players. The rest of us, well - we want progression.
This is perspective for now. But only now. This what is hard is only hard for now. First I think I will give example how wrong I was. There was a nerf in Fleet Shop and change in Shard Store. I was thinking that it was bad for players. That I wont be able to have important gear. But in fact I didnt know that it was only part of change. We got guild event store, now more cheaper gear in guild store. I was wrong. This change about gear was good and in fact players gained acces to more gear. So based on this expierience i think DS TB in this way it is can be firs step for dark side. Second thing what i think is that challange will give reason to play game. Will give a reason to develop DS. We didnt have any reason before this to upgrade DS. Arena became LS oriented, stagnant, boring. Now there is reason for DS. I am not selfish as you trying to think about me. I try to see what this can bring to the game. for now we cannot see bigger picture so better to wait than shout and judge. You dont want to be busy? Why do you play?
