This game is designed to be a grind. Just because the requirements are simpler, such as farming five toons with a specific tag, that doesn't make it a freebie. You are given Vader shards for participation. Palpatine, Thrawn and CLS are only farmable through the collection of specific toons. By your definition, all toons are freebies, since they are collectable, so we are having two separate conversations. One does not override the other.
