Deathmark on toppled tank

I finally put together an Imperial Trooper team and took them for a spin yesterday. One thing I noticed is if I deathmark the tank while toppled, once topple is over and deathmark clears, I still can't target anything but the tank. This causes me to quickly die as it feeds tm to the tank and b2s. Is this a bug with deathmark?

    I thought that when Death Mark was active all non-AoE attacks must focus on the marked toon until it expires. That's the way it has worked for me, consistently, in a number of different contexts, not just AAT. Figured it was a feature, rather than a bug.
