Now this is fun

I got hardly any GR wins first pass through the sectors b/c I was trying to do the sector feats first and global later. Along the way I got the most fun set of disks ever. I mean, I thought 3x Zealous Ambition was fun because you could drop in one high relic support like Raddus or Akbar and one shot anyone not a tank (and 2-shot the tanks), but this is wonderful.

Put together the following disk set:

Grab the Ability Exhaustion disk (auto-ability block once a toon has suffered 10 total debuffs over any number of turns)

1x the Thermal disk (applies 3x Thermal Detonator once a toon has suffered 5 total debuffs excluding these thermal detonators)

1x Crit Debuffs (at the beginning of each enemy turn applies 3 dubuffs, CC% Down, CD Down and one more? I forget)

2x Caustic Emissions (at the beginning of each enemy turn applies 2 DoTs per disk)

So Caustic applies 4 total debuffs at the beginning of each enemy turn. Crit disk applies 3, you now have 7 debuffs. That's more than 5, so the Thermals kick in, which is 3 more debuffs, which equals 10 debuffs, so you get Ability Block.

That's the basics. Add around that as you're able, with Weak Point and Ruthless Swiftness being the most helpful.

With every enemy ability blocked every turn, you generally don't have to worry about AoEs or really much of anything. You just one one good, survivable tank and you're off to the races (although watch out for teams immune to Ability Block like GrandInq-led Inquisitors).

As long as you have some form of stacking offence or damage (Weak Point is the best of these, but there are others) any team with a pre taunting tank becomes god-like.

Since I hadn't finished my GR global feat, I'm now using Queen Amidala (with Decoy serving as my pre taunting tank) + CUP, Clone Wars Chewie, Cody, and Sarge. Watching r1 CWC take down a conquest enemy from 75% health with a single basic is a thing of beauty.

Anyway, I didn't invent the 10-debuff auto-block setup, but I'm having so much fun with it this Conquest I thought I'd share.

The downside was that my setup was definitely less than optimal for the first 4 sectors, but finally got the auto-block working at the end of s4, right after the s4 boss, and picked up the Weak Point I'd been missing on the 2nd disk node of s5.

Unless you're lucky or have the relics to play with less than perfect disks while waiting for everything to come together, this might make your initial play through harder, with bad luck possibly even quite a bit harder. But the core disks are all common and I had a setup giving 8 debuffs/turn halfway through s3 -- you still needed to get through the initial onslaught, but Ability Block quickly took over, especially if your own attacks are adding debuffs. Getting Weak Spot earlier would also help this setup a ton.

Now clean up isn't a chore, it's a delight. Honestly, this setup makes this CQ the most fun since that very first cycle where gaining buffs reset your cooldowns so GMY would take infinite bonus turns against any enemies with a good number of buffs. Bouncing Monkey Yoda will always have a special place in my heart, but this setup is mad fun.

Anyone else got a good disk setup or a cool team synergy going this CQ?
