Defense Heavy and Special Focused toons
Forgive me if I'm misunderstanding game mechanics here. What if we had these two scenarios introduced? A toon (Ex: Droideka) with insanely high defense that does not depend on health or protection...

Defense exists in the game for both physical and special attacks. I'm not sure if the exact mechanics are known, but it essentially decreases damage dealt. I think the consensus is that it isn't as important as other things (like speed or crit dmg) as it only marginally improves survivability.
