They are becoming more diverse again with R2 making 4 other factions totally viable at top arena. Without Maul around, Vader is making a comeback. Nihilus is an easy counter to Rex/Barriss, but Vader is an easy counter to Nihilus. First order with all zetas is terrifying.
Rex has never been the problem.
Rex teams make Vader a cake walk. Once tenacity up is popped, the dots can't land. Rex's leader ability is most useful against Zader teams as they end up giving the opponent more turn meter then they reduce.
