Well BB8 isn't needed for poes ship so why would death trooper be needed for Krennic's?

Touché. But I'd argue they should also add BB8 to Poe's ship. Perhaps that was the intent behind the "Hardware coming soon".

I'd like to see BB8 added, but doing so grants the ship new abilities and not lose the ship for those who have it but not BB8.
