Does the quality of the mod have changed ?

I feel that since they have made Mod Packs permenant, that the drops rates have gone down across the board - even the mod packs too, I seem to be getting a lot more 4* and a lot less 5*

Only garbage for me after one week of farming with 3 refreshes daily. Even on the beta server I refreshed the cantina until the limit (with infinite crystals) for 3 days, and bought all the good mods from the mod store, also until I hit the refresh limit, and I got 3 mods with speed from 10-12. Except that: nothing! And I spend about 300k crystals for that, it's insane!

So yeah, I got some decent mods a long time ago, but in the last months it was a pure waste of crystals. Can't be coincidence. I don't think I only had luck in the beginning. Another thing people want to counter with "RNG". Since they are mod packs I don't even wonder anymore. Another moneygrab.

drops suck, 300 crystals/day and most get trashed

It's completly the opposite for me. I never had 5 dots speed mod with primary +30 speed. I have 3 of them now . I got all of them between December 25 and 30. My brother got 2 speed mod with +18 and + 13 in secondary speed the same day, december 28. It's RNG....

Exactly. It's a business. Wal-mart don't give too much stuff away for free either.

Mod drop rate has never been good.
Doing 3 refreshes a day you should get one or maybe 2 good mods per week, if you are lucky.
I've farmed mods for months, doing only mods with my cantina energy. Still , long term it's worth it.
Do it EVERY day for a month. You will get some good mods, persistence is the key
A good mod that MIGHT upgrade well cost 3k crystal in mod shop.
So if u spend 2100 crystal a week and get a good mod consider yourself lucky

It's not that less good mods drop, it's the fact that we used to not get mods with every sim. so to flush out the drops gray mods drop in place of the no drops, but the percent of "decent" mods is the same
