it's not that hard, you select droids and enter the battle.

Droids will be very arena viable. If you don't see that I can't help you.
As they should be. They are now tied with Empire for the 4th largest faction (counting the non-droid characters that are really only good with droids). They are also one of only 2 factions that have both light and dark side characters (scoundrels being the other).
To be able to mix dark and light side characters without losing faction synergy should be OP. IMO.
