Earnings

See attached image.

This will be soon the end

  • If they don't fix the game or revert the changes, I see a lot of people quitting for good.

41 million is still a lot of money for a mobile game, and should be plenty to keep the servers up and running and pay everyone working on the game and still have plenty left over.

I think EA either wants to kill the game since its not making as much money or straight up trying to make it more like Madden/Fifa Ultimate team where so much money is made from microtransactions and that type of pay 2 win model.

I foresee the new characters all being extremely strong since they will be pay 2 play type to unlock, and that's what will drive people to spend money.

Agree, the new update only benefits those who throw money at the game.

You do realise thats earnings for the first half of the year? Of course you don't then you'd know thats fine even if there is a drop off,  particularly as the 2nd half of the years monitisation will potentially more than double the H1 earnings, and perhaps even beat 2023s revenues.

Yes, CG are dropping the ball and annoying a lot of players but the figures you provide do not indicate the end in any way whatsoever.

I think you should look at the trend. Negative trend. Let's see it at the end of the year

Need to consider other factors than just looking at the trend and deciding its solely cos ppl are unhappy.

Covid in 2020. Mandalorian release etc..

Many businesses who had a boom from covid have seen a similar downward trend in the past few years.

Also need to take into account where the world or individuals countries are, in many countries inflation is high, bills going up etc..

what it does mean is companies need to rethink their strategies and try different things to retain revenue

Ha! I missed that - thanks for pointing out that it's only the first half of the year. Yeah, I'd guess they're likely to end the year flat with last year, or possibly better. Op trying hard to make a case for "CG is killing their game!"

I mean CG isn't exactly on top of their game lately with reading the room - but people underestimate the resilience of this game - and they've been doing it from day 1.

Hah!!! If some corners of this wretched hive of scum and villainy are to be believed the changes  ARE A WIN for us. And people that are not happy with changes should just sit down and shut up.😦

Considering 2024 isn't even over yet it's pretty safe to assume people know it's not the full 2024 earnings... Moreover the "H1" next to 2024 but no other year is a dead give away.

"You do realise thats earnings for the first half of the year? Of course you don't"

But sure, pretend people are dumb if it makes you feel better about yourself.

I agree forcing these changes are bad for business, many are considering to quit. People are struggling to pay bills, food and medicine ect. This needs to revert back at least. For a year or two and then be slowly implemented.

CG isn't concerned as long as there's still a steady profit margin, which I'm quite sure is still happening.

If anything, they'll just use this as an excuse as to why "quality" is such a low priority.
