I Lol'ed when I saw that. There hasn't been a shred of balance in this game in years. They just release a new super toon (or ship) to counter the previous super toon. And of course, the new super toon has even more base speed (or worked into it's leader or unique abilities) that it makes any other counter harder than before.
That's just a lame excuse, there is no balance!
