Ewoks Marquee Events No Character Requirements?

I'm surprised I can't find a discussion already open on this topic (I'm probably wrong). We now have both events listed in game and it doesnt say anything on character requirements.

Does it mean we don't need ewoks to unlock the two new ewoks?

    I know... I'm just hoping it's worth it as I've stopped farming Old Ben for the ewoks for (potentially) the August Luke event...
