Fan Made General Grevious Rework + Suggestions

So the community has been waiting for a GG rework for a super long time and I haven't seen anything out so far that would show me what it could look like. So before there is an official release I had an idea that involves not only General Grievous, but a few additional droids as well (one marquee, one apple exclusive, and one android exclusive)

So let's start with the most important character being General Grievous

GG's Tags: Droid, Attacker, Separatist, Jedi Hunter
Jedi Hunter is a new tag that will signify the direction of his kit. I believe someone like Cad Bane could also gain this tag alongside Darth Maul and Savage Opress just to name a few

Now to start off his kit:
Basic: Furious Assault: Deal physical damage to target enemy. If the target is a Jedi, they are hit twice with a 70% chance to inflict Tenacity Down for two turns. This attack can't be Evaded or Countered.

Special 1:Grievous Wounds : {Cooldown 8} Deal Physical damage to all enemies with a 50% chance to inflict Healing Immunity and Speed Down for two turns. Jedis cannot resist or avoid this attack. This ability's cooldown is reduced by 1 every time Grievous is attacked, by 2 if attacked by a Jedi.

Special 2:Sinister Laugh: Inflict Health Down on all enemies for two turns with a 50% chance to remove 35% turn meter. This effect is doubled for Jedis.

Leader: Droids At My Beckoning (I know this name could use some work lol): All enemies have -35% Critical Chance, Critical Damage, & Critical Avoidance. Droids gain +5% Critical Chance and Critical Damage per living droid ally. As long as all allies are droids, General Grievous can bring one additional Battle Droid with him.

Unique 1: Tactical Advantage: Grievous gains 10% Health for each living droid ally. Whenever Grievous falls below 50% Health, he will Dispel all negative status effects on himself and force a random Battle Droid to Taunt for him if there is no ally currently Taunting for him. If he does, that ally also gains 100% turn meter. As long as a Battle Droid is present, among receiving a fatal blow, Grievous swaps with a random Battle Droid, gaining 100% Health and 50% turn meter. Battle Droids cannot be revived after this affect.

Unique 2: Jedi Scum: Grievous gains 10% Offense and Health Steal when a Jedi is defeated.

That wraps us the GG kit. There is a lot of the same from his previous kit because I don't believe that his kit was bad, just not effective at the one thing he did well as a leader of the Separatist, which was hunt Jedis. Also as you seen within this kit, you seen the tag Battle Droid show up in his kit. There are several Battle Droids seen throughout The Clone Wars Series and I thought it would be fun to introduce a few here.

That's right your favorite Roger Roger Droid has arrived. He is already in the games main AI system but because we don't have the options to have duplicate characters in teams, we will have to switch up the kit just a bit.

B1-Battle Droid Kit:

Tags: Droid, Support, Battle Droid, Separatist

Basic: Roger:. Deal Physical damage to target enemy with a 25% chance to attack twice.

Special: Roger Roger!: Deal physical damage to target enemy and call an ally Battle Droid to assist.

Unique: Right Behind You: B1-Battle Droid has a 40% chance to assist a random Battle Droid out of turn.

This kit is extremely simple and I believe it could work. It doesn't need to be a strong character, but I believe it is a nice collection toy. This character I believe could be a marquee character.

Up Next! ......

The Droideka! Yet another favorite from The Clone Wars Series. The Droideka was a nuisance to any it went up against. Able to handle several blast at once and its kit will reflect that.

This will be the only time I mention stats as it pertains to any characters that appear on this list.
I believe the character should have decent speed since it can move around the battle field fairly well even though once it is up right it moves slower than the B1-Battle Droid. I am going to mark it's speed at 137 just a tick below T3-M4.
Droideka will have the lowest health in the game however by a long shot. I am going to put it's health at 10K. This is almost half of the current leader in lowest health being Chirrut Imwe.
Protection on the other hand will be extremely high and I will place it's protection at 100K. That is more than double the current leader in protection being Zaalbar.
Droideka will also have a 0% chance to avoid attacks.

Droideka's Kit:

Tags: Droid, Tank, Battle Droid, Separatist

Basic: Gatling Gun: Deal Physical damage to target enemy with high damage variance. This attack will hit twice, with a 75% chance to attack 3 times, 50% chance to attack 4 times, and a 25% chance to attack 5 times. This attack cannot land a Critical Hit.

Special: Deflector Shield:(Cooldown 20) Replenish protection back to 100%. Cooldown is reduced by 1 every time Droideka is attacked, two if critically hit.

Unique: Counter Attack: FINAL TEXT ZETA Droideka has a 50% counter chance. When counter attacking, Droideka will only hit once.

Going back to Droideka's basic, I wouldn't want Gatling Gun to look like several attacks one at a time. Instead, the attack animation would last a little bit longer, you would see the health bar move a time or two or until the attack is completed.

Down to the final character on this list.....

IG-100 better known as the MagnaGuard is a favorite of General Grievous! This variant will be called Grievous Honor Guard since there is one already in game. This particular droid was one of the few that could handle it's own and potentially kill a Jedi! If GG were to get reworked, it would be a missed opportunity to not add this character is well.

IG-100 "Grievous Honor Guard's kit

Tags: Droid, Attacker, Battle Droid, Separatist

Basic: Vicious Assault: Deal Physical damage and inflict Stagger. If the target is already Staggered, inflict Daze for 2 turns.

Special: Electro-Smack!: (Cooldown 3)Deal Physical damage to the enemy with a 50% chance to remove 50% Turn Meter. If the target is Dazed, remove daze and inflict Stun for 2 turns.

Unique: Grievous' Finest: FINAL TEXT ZETA If Grievous falls below 75% Health, IG-100 gains 50% Turn Meter. This affect can only happen once until General Grievous completes his next turn.

This concludes all the Ideas that I had officially planned out. I do believe that a few ships could be added to the game alongside these characters suchs as:
General Grievous' Malevolence! (Capital Ship)

Vulture Droid!

Hyena Droid Bomber!

and of course
Droid Gunship!

I'm not super fond of ships so I don't know how I would implement these kits but they are suggestions the CG could potentially run with.

There we have it. A complete General Grievous rework alongside other suggestions as well. Let me know what you think about the idea that I have came up with. Where do you think I hit or missed? Also let me know if you would of rather seen a video or if you would potentially subscribe to a Youtube Channel with rework ideas and/or suggestions. Thank you for your time and hopefully you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed coming up with it!
  • Cool work! Some quick feedback on the kits: Jedi Scum is a weak ability and not quite worthy of a zeta. Grievous’ Finest also isn’t worthy of a zeta. B1-Battle Droid is perhaps a little too simple. Add some status effects or turn meter manipulation to make it useful. Droideka has no reason to not have 2% dodge chance.

I’ve created my own kits, feel free to check them out:

  • The promised grievous rework will live on with fantastic ideas like the ones here ??

Even if the propaganda spread by the core-system funded game devs want him to be forgotten!
  • fair points @DaPowerfulJedi . But it's not like every zeta out in the world is worth it, that's why some zetas are considered luxury lol.The reason I put Droideka's dodge chance at 0 is because if it were to avoid an attack, it wouldn't be beneficial to it's kit.

I like your Droideka idea myself. However 250% protection that can't be dispelled with a 5 turn cooldown is kind of insane lol. By the time you wack through the protection it's back up. Especially with the speed unique. Overall, I am glad to see that I'm not the only one who thinks about this stuff !

Okay I’m cool with luxury zetas. But maybe not one on Grievous, his should be a solid zeta imo.
As for dodge, all characters have a base 2% dodge chance. Even those that benefit from taking damage. Droideka would be the odd one out.

250% protection up sounds like a lot but you should be able to get through it before droideka takes five more turns. Plus even though you can’t dispel the protection up, you can dispel taunt and attack someone else. Or you could use someone like Sith Assassin or Talzin to just ignore protection.

A bunch of users like myself post kits in the character feedback section, yours will probably get moved there by a mod soon. Lately I’ve seen a bunch of people coming up with Grievous reworks, so we’re not the only ones thinking about poor ol’ Grievous!
