This is common on all free games. You will never have the top character, top ship, whatever because the toons is where money is made. You're looking for a fast pace free ride and that's not how the game is designed. Unless your willing to fork out cash you need to pick your farming wisely.
When someone sells something there has to be something in return. In this case, it's a better squad then yours. Don't hate
PS, I haven't spent a dime on this game. I just understand the concept of EA trying to make some cash. These games need regular maintenance as well so a steady income is needed to even keep the game alive.
