Fleet battles

So, just to sketch the situation in our guild: we don't fill ship platoons due to not having any BTL or Hyena bombers yet, so we can't exploit the Platoon bonusses.
I've got a R7 Nego, R7 Ani, R7 Fives, R4 Rex, R5 Ahsoka and G12 Plo, Sarge and HMF in my line-up.
But still, I can't beat P1 and P2 fleet battles.
Weird thing is, I CAN easily win the P3 battle and have done so every time so far.
Anybody else having the same issue?
And on another note, anyone have a strategy for P1 and P2? Line-up, reinforcement order, ...
