We would end up with alot of powerful teams in the bottom leagues making it very hard for newish players to win. EA can' let it get too hard for new players..
...so is it better that the entire community loses crystals to inactive players? Consider that if they don't connect, no one from the lower leagues will ever cross paths with these rosters...
Actually, if you join GA you win or lose points , but if you don't join your points are safe, Other example is Hamilton, top 35 Kyber 3.
This is the reason why I skip 3v3. Sure, I'll miss out on some crystals from the event, but I lose way more when I actively participate in 3v3.
Does that math really add up? Missing 3 weeks of GAC is less than when you participate? Dailies alone, and participation even if you lose every match would be a lot. There is not much crystal difference between divisions, so you would have to perform so badly to sink you to another league for the next season and I am still not sure that’s less. Last season 3v3 I dropped to Aurodium 1 by dipping into K5 in the last match. Not only am I moving up to Kyber this 3v3, I won more matches than I have in a long time even with a 3/3. I believe this gave me a less stressful 5v5 with fewer squads per zones and I do not think I have less crystals as I won more matches and came top in one bracket. I still faced larger opponents but it was more fun and I think crystals was fairly neutral, plus back in Kyber.
And consider they don’t have the time to play right now and return in a years time and they have dropped without losing? I don’t see an issue, they earned their rank fairly and apart from the top of Kyber 1. This has very little impact on anyone else.
