I would rather be fighting opponents with comparable GP and skill.
Fighting opponents with 10%-50% more usable GP and random skill levels was a complete mess. Either they were less skilled and I could pull off a win despite my GP handicap or they were comparably skilled and I had no chance because of my GP handicap
Fighting opponents with the same usable GP is better. Now if they would just add a matchmaking factor representing skill. Most of my current bracket's rosters are comparable to mine with one exception: poor modding.
