GAC - Hiding Score

Would love to have the option of hiding my score. I’m in the PT time zone so GAC always ends at 2 pm for me in the middle of my work day. I simply do not have the ability to wait to attack so I’m always, without fail, the first to attack. This is somewhat, or mostly, an advantage created/incentivized by time zones rather than patience or strategy. Just seems like an easy fix by hiding scores. And if there are folks that like going first, give them an option to show score.

Disagree with you. But if you recall, I said to let the people that think attacking first is an advantage have the opportunity to show their score.

Knowing you must go clean, impacts what teams you use and where. Maybe you don’t use Fennec on Vader if you have to be clean and you save your GL for a different battle. Also, you skipped why knowing you can drop 3 battles isn’t an advantage.

I was trying to keep it short, but once again please explain how knowing you can drop three battles can change the outcome? Your entire argument seems predicated on knowing absolutely what the outcome would have been otherwise, which isn't realistically possible. It isn't binary, and the knowledge doesn't change your odds of winning; merely how you might go about achieving it.
  • lol. This was moved to somewhere I couldn’t find it. Clearly I hit the point of wasting everyone’s time. That’s on me. I’ll go back to my asylum now.

I only have so many GL's to start with. I don't use Fennec against Vader because I "hope" it will work, I use Fennec on Vader because that's what I have. Knowing or not knowing the score changes nothing.

"I use Fennec on Vader because that's what I have."

Just because it's what YOU have, doesn't mean it's the same for everyone. Others may have more options, and for them, knowing what team they can afford to use where, can be an advantage. I'm with @Justokay on this one. If people don't see or can't grasp the advantage of going second, that's on them. The advantage will always be there, no matter what anyone says (Note: advantage does not mean guaranteed win). Not understanding the concept of something is not a justification to dismiss its existence.

I think we're talking about a different type of advantage, at least that's the only explanation I have. You seem to be talking about feeling more certain, or comfortable, or relaxed in your play based on making a more informed decision. I was talking about the fact that knowing the score doesn't swing a match in your favor. It doesn't make your squads better, or your fights reward more banners. It doesn't help a non-counter pull out a win. You have the same choices before knowing and after - you can play risky, or conservative.

I like the double quote. But I understand the concept perfectly. You and OP don't seem to grasp that it is not an actual advantage, only a perceived advantage. If you feel better going second, than do that. If you feel better going, first, then do that instead. Either way doesn't matter, as there is no advantage.
  • Any perceived advantage of going first is negated by the equal perceived advantage of going second.
