GAC Division Determination (character screen GP or stats screen GP)

Hi everybody! When I go into my Characters screen, the GP listed there does not match the total Galactic Power: listed on my STATS tab. There are close, but about 8k part. I know both of them are intending to list my total Galactic Power (Ships + Characters GP), but they are different.

I'm wondering which one is used to determine my GAC Division. Does anyone have experience with this?

    Mine is all kinds of wonky. My character screen says 5,668,xxx and my stats screen says 6,155,501. Something definitely wrong

    It's a bug , devs say display bug only but haven't commented which go will be used for gac... gac uses lifetime highest gp so if people got 600k bonus go today they may be in a new division when GAC starts... we wont know until next gac and we beta test it for the devs... were in uncharted territory

    My guess is the difference is unused Mods. Since things are locked after you join, it would make more sense if it's the what is equipped at the time (or your Character screen GP), but I have no idea :)

    This is the closest answer i was able to get from them, still not sure if he talked only about players match-making or divisions, but if it really is just visual than it should be OK.
