Galactic War - getting worse?

With all respect Ranger, I'm not looking for a solution of 'grind this toon'. Doing well at Galactic Wars (to my mind at least) shouldn't require having a specific toon or toons, it should be a challenge based on what you have.

I have tried raising bug reports and looking on the 'answers' board. This is trying to see if my experience is truly subjective and I'm one of very few people or if it's as widespread as I think it is from the other players I know personally.
