(Hint: sim tickets) How could you possibly think people enjoy retreating from the same battle for two dozen times, just so they can finally beat GW?
Just to counter that - soon as GW was changed to be easy there were multiple threads that went up complaining that it was too easy. Me personally, I like that it's not as hard - but to say that no one liked it the old was is totally not correct. There were actually a decent chunk of players that liked the challenge.
so what? the other day there was a poll on that subject and 95% of all votes preferred the easier GW. Are you saying EA should cater to the remaining 5%?
Besides, you absolutely fail to get my point. This is not about challenging or not challenging. Of course people like a challenge. Otherwise there would be no sense of achievement. But there are many things in the game that provide a challenge: Arena, Events, Even raids are challenging for lower level players/guilds.
But GW is not challenging, it's just a mess. It's challenging in the same way as manually computing the last digit of PI is challenging. It's challenging in the same way as climbing a mountain in a wheel chair is challenging. Maybe there are people who enjoy this kind of thing, but for the majority it's just a pointless sisyphean task.
