Gear drop rates

I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this but it seems that since the February update was released the drop rate for certain gear has been significantly reduced. I used 25 sim tickets in an attempt to get enough MK3 Mer-Sonn Thermal Detonator Prototypes which resulted in a yield of 2/25. Surely the drop rates should be better than this? Would love to hear what everyone else has to say.
