My recollection is that they were going to double the drop rate, not do double drops. Disclaimer, I have not tracked any actual numbers, but the Carb drop rate on the Raven's Claw node does seem high to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Now that you mention it, the bo katan/jolee node is pretty kind too in those last days
