The current state will likely stay the way it is, because there is no consensus and fair arguments on both sides. so they are not likely to change it, since it ain't broken.- 12hr phases would be bad no matter what time zone you are in. One phase may be convenient but the next would be the opposite. Assuming you sleep 8 hrs and work 8 hrs, you would have little time to do a phase. Especially if you sleep 8 hrs and get up and go to work for 8 hrs like a lot of people do.
24hr phases are doable. But anything less than that is just nuts. I like the 36hrs though and if they aren't going to double the tbs then there's no reason to cram it into 4 days and then have 2 days of nothing. - Persimius5 years agoSeasoned Scout

Oh? What was the bug then? I get why they won't bother changing it now, but why didn't they fix it last year, perhaps when LSTB came out?Our intention with the Geonosis Territory Battle was to have a shorter experience consisting of four 24-hour phases. Unfortunately, due to a bug with scheduling Territory Battles, we will have to extend each phase to 36-hours for the foreseeable future.
Edit: They've also given the same reason for why we can't have a review phase at the end. It isn't an issue of guild members spanning time zones, either. TB is on a universal timer. So the phases start during middle of the night somewhere on the globe, no matter what time they choose.
The initial release was also a lot of advice like, I pop in and platoon and do my combat and am done. They admitted they didn't expect guilds to hold combat until platoons were filled, which again is nuts. That is obviously the right thing to do. - Persimius5 years agoSeasoned Scout

They weren't initially slated to start at 10AM Pacific. Pretty sure it was 5AM/5PM to limit. But yeah, there would always have been a phase while you were sleeping. But think of how much easier they could have made it since we wouldn't have had much time to mess with it. 1) My roster/mods are fine, and I do well enough in LSTB; it is still ridiculously overtuned

can you quote the remark about the review phase?
A quick search turned up nothing, so I concede it could be my own conjecture. All I found was "maybe we'll do something," but also always seems to be put into the QoL Bin, which we're never getting again.
