It'd be doable - even on the level of AT-AT/clone AT-TE - you have a "Big spot" a "Medium spot" and 3 "small spots" and have to fill accordingly. Camera zooms as necessary.
And instead of tying a toon to a vehicle - tie a faction - so you can fill it with your best of.
Ultimate I'm looking for a better tie - where you fight with 5 ground toons but also bring in air and ground support and can open up combat a little. The stodgy set piece design of 5 on 5 is old and tired.
