I got ban

I know there are plenty of cheats out there, many who try to plead innocent. But the more I see these kinds of posts it makes me wonder what the actual process of banning an account is. There are hundreds if not thousands of cases of cheating being reported (most are probably legit). Question is does a real person actually sit down and review credible data and then press the red button? Or is there some sort of auto flag system that just sends out bans? Lots of posts about people following EA advice and then getting no response as well..
