Idea for new EU Character event similar to Starkiller

I loved the whole treatment of the Starkiller event and would love to see a similar event return in the future. Maybe next time get the community more involved and let it be a fan's choice selection.

Other games do polls on characters. Fire Emblem Heroes does a poll every anniversary where any character in any game in the franchise is fair game (even some bizarre ones) and the top two male and female characters will then come to the game in special "hero" unit form. From the reveal of the winners to in-game release takes 6 months (Feb voting, Aug release). This could actually be a cool way to bring more EU toons into the game. Have us vote this May 4th Celebration on any EU character and the top 5 are then made into the game. The 2-5 winners are the marquee requirements and #1 is the new Legendary for December. Keep players engaged and excited for future releases, whales get to whale for cool toons the community selects, CG makes a bundle, and the f2p get to chase after them as they drop into marquee and accelerated status down the road.
  • What's the problem with Legendary Jar Jar? The game's already a joke anyway, why not let us players be the ones calling out the jokes here for a change.

That'd be the day... It's one of the best ideas I've seen in these forums, but CG being CG would never do it... Too sad... :'(

I don't think the number 1 should just default to the legendary character, this is how we get legendary jar jar, it needs to be someone with a lot of weight more than just being a popular character but I like the idea of having people vote, better than voting for a random pilot as part of your ship energy grinding

I think it absolutely should. It would really boost fan engagement and interest. If we get Darth Jar Jar or another meme as a Legendary all the better. Again citing Fire Emblem Heroes, in last years poll they included the characters from the most recent console game. One of the characters was a really big meme (gate keeper). He didn't even have a name and he won one of the slots. They made a character for him. On the first anniversary poll the at the time main villain in the mobile game won a slot. She wasn't even in the game as a playable character yet since she was your main adversary at the time. They made a special version of her in the game. That really is a huge payoff for fans and the game benefits from it. They have been the #1 game in terms of profit for Nintendo in the mobile game space.

And there are regular Legendary characters, not GLs. Its a nice middle ground. This really is a win-win for everyone involved.

I would absolutely love this, because Expanded Universe content is still among my favorite in all of Star Wars, especially Knights of the Old Republic stuff.

I would definitely love to see someone get memed in like Gatekeeper was in FEH.
