Why are republic ships and even most resistance/rebel ships INFERIOR to empire ships? Empire rule the charts and auto battles favor Tarkin capital ship's 5 turn "i win" button. Not to mention Thrawn. ...

The problem isn't that dark side is better per se it's that dark side has faster ships that apply target lock on basic. The best ship in the game (biggs) thrives on target lock and dark side just does it better. Light side can still be good I love rocking with them in territory battles but in arena they are too slow and the fast ones dont target lock so people run dark side.
