Finding out is usually a big deal for a specific character or plot point in post order 66 stories
I agree completely. Some of my favorite moments from the canon comics involve people dancing around the fact these Vader is Anakin. Padme’s friends/guards actually believe that Vader killed Anakin and Padme all the way through Empire Strikes Back. Like you pointed out, it’s huge for Ahsoka in Rebels when she finds out. Even Thrawn gets into the Empire just by knowing Anakin’s name (and by citing Anakin’s trust in Thrawn’s abilities). There are more than a few moments where Thrawn/Vader interact, and it’s interesting that Thrawn respects Vader’s power but doesn’t know he’s Anakin. Vader’s identity has been a powerful mystery/reveal ever since 1980, so it’s a little weird that Reva just seemed to casually know who Vader was.
That being said, I’m interested in how they explain why she knows. I’m guessing it will be an essential moment in her story too.
It’s a powerful reveal, but for a lot of the time it doesn’t really matter. Of course it matters to Luke, Kenobi, Ahsoka, but I don’t see how a character like Thrawn would care so much. He’d want to find out because it’s a puzzle and because he apparently met him as Anakin, but… idk I haven’t read all the new Thrawn books.
But in the older post-order-66 books it was more something people learned as a revelation and tried to knock Vader off balance, and it rarely ended up working that way.
I guess what I’m saying Reva knowing doesn’t functionally change much unless she knew him as Anakin or she has some stronger connection to Vader because of it. Time should tell. That and I’m continuing to question why it’s a secret in the first place.

Yoda knows, Kenobi knows, Palpatine knows... and thats it for a long time.
Thrawn and Tarkin both suspect it and sorta figure it out.
Ahsoka learns and is stunned
Luke learns and is stunned
3rd Sister knowing is not normal and has to have a story to it.
